As your business and contact list grows, so does the cost. Charging $35 per month for 2,500 contacts and $55 per month for up to 5,000 contacts. If you want to pay in advance, you get a very nice discount of 10% or 15% depending on if you pay six or 12 months in advance. The Bad

For everything Constant Contact does right, it does fall short in providing advanced campaign capabilities including; RSS to email function and triggered campaigns. A/B split testing is another feature missing from this email marketing service. A/B split testing allows you to send out two different versions of an email which will be distributed at random to your contact list, this shows you which email preforms better on a variety of variables. These features will be missed because they are valuable in helping you automate parts of your campaign process.

Constant Contact also falls short with automation and a CRM. There are many other better options such as Active Campaign, Mail Chimp, Ontraport or Infusionsoft.

About the Author

Minneapolis is where I work, eat, play and sleep. Digital Marketing Consultant. Ghostbuster. I've worked in digital marketing for several years, mainly working with businesses on overall digital strategy, including building and ranking their websites on the first page in search engines. Businesses want to invest in a successful website that ranks well on Google and is easy to add features, content and can be scaled. The problem is that the average hourly rate for a digital marketing consultant is $150. Many businesses don't have a budget to hire a consultant but could do much of the work themselves or by one of their employees if they knew how. That's why I created the Business Website Blueprint course. An easy, step-by-step guide to empower businesses to build their own, successful website.
